Bridging Gaps Conference

Bridging Gaps:

Collaborative Approaches to Preventing Food, Finances, & Housing Challenges

Coordinated by Wyoming & Colorado Associations of Family & Consumer Sciences

April 25 and 26, 2025

Laramie Civic Center & Business Building, University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY

There is a lot of anguish about the price of food and housing, about chronic disease, indebtedness, and the stress of it all is harming mental health and relationships as well as our health and happiness. This conference it focused on getting beneath the surface so that we do more than address the current problems as if they are separate problems. Many of the problems we see are symptoms of underlying problems, many of which could be prevented if we work together.

Goals:

–Gain understanding of these interconnected critical issues

–Identify and access resources and strategies to address complex issues

–Build opportunities and collaborative connections that could lead to preventing complex issues

Conference Sponsors: Wyoming Department of Education Career & Technical Education team, Money Habitudes, and the University of Wyoming Department of Family & Consumer Sciences.

Scholarships possible if the cost is prohibitive.
