Wyoming Small Businesses Invited to Participate in Federal Reserve Small Business Credit Survey

Wyoming small business owners are encouraged to take part in the Federal Reserve’s 2025 Small Business Credit Survey, a national effort to collect valuable data on small business financing, credit access, and economic conditions. The survey is open now through November 14, 2025.

Why Wyoming Businesses Should Participate

Research from the Federal Reserve shows clear connections between credit, financial literacy, and fraud prevention, topics that are increasingly important to Wyoming’s small business. By participating, business owners can help shape local support programs and national policies that reflect Wyoming’s real-world challenges and opportunities.

Fifty businesses must take the survey to ensure that Wyoming’s voice is heard in that conversation.

This data plays a critical role in guiding economic development efforts across Wyoming. One organization using it effectively is CyberWyoming, a nonprofit that trains small businesses to manage cyber risks. Since its founding, CyberWyoming has aligned its programs with Better Business Bureau studies showing a connection between financial literacy and vulnerability to scams. By continually adapting its training to better meet the needs of small and microbusinesses, CyberWyoming is working toward its vision: helping Wyoming’s smallest enterprises become the most cyber-secure demographic in the nation.

“If 50 for-profit Wyoming companies complete the survey, the Federal Reserve will compare state-level data to the national average and share that data with us,” said Laura Baker, Executive Director of CyberWyoming. “That comparison gives us the data we need to advocate for Wyoming businesses through the CyberUSA network and beyond.”

How to Take the Survey and Share Your Voice

The 2025 Small Business Credit Survey is a voluntary survey sponsored solely by the Federal Reserve Banks. Survey responses help inform the Federal Reserve, government agencies, service providers, and policymakers. Responses are aggregated for research and analysis; no individual business data will be disclosed except to trusted service providers preparing anonymized data, or as required by law.

The survey takes about 12 minutes to complete, making it easy to fit into your morning routine. “Grab your coffee and take the survey. It’s a small investment of time that can make a big impact,” added Baker.
