Involve Me and I Learn

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”

Benjamin Franklin

by Laura Baker, CyberWyoming

I saw this quote by Ben Franklin and thought, that is exactly what we are doing with Wyoming’s Cybersecurity Competition for Small Businesses!

Involve me and I learn.

We asked the experts how to best involve small business leaders.

CyberWyoming worked with the UW Social Work Department to modify a social work process to help people move through their uncertainty and negative feelings towards the subject of cybersecurity. After all, I don’t know anyone who is afraid of a social worker, but they stalwartly attack huge tasks and accomplish great things. They use a team oriented approach and bring resources to the table to hurdle barriers.

Of course, those same techniques work for the subject of cybersecurity!

The whole point of the competition is to make the subject of cyber less intimidating.

So, we make it easy to understand, fun, and your business is supported throughout the process.

Join Wyoming’s Cybersecurity Competition for Small Businesses – get involved and learn to manage your risks!
