We work closely with schools, educators, and industry partners to develop and implement innovative and interactive educational programs that inspire and equip the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Job Description

CyberWyoming is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interactive Educational Programs Intern to assist in running three key educational programs. This is a part-time position that provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in educational program management, curriculum development, and community engagement within the cybersecurity field.

Responsibilities:

  1. LEGO Attack and Defense Models Program:

   – Maintain and track LEGO attack and defense models checked out by teachers.

   – Answer teachers’ questions and provide support regarding the models.

   – Ensure models are returned in good condition and prepare them for the next semester’s use.

  1. Cyber in a Box School Video Challenge:

   – Assist in developing curricula focused on securing critical energy infrastructure.

   – Create and edit videos to announce the challenge and provide ideas for teachers and teams.

   – Manage the registration process for the challenge.

   – Respond to teachers’ questions and provide necessary support.

   – Collaborate with Idaho National Lab to generate a list of project ideas for teams.

   – Coordinate the distribution of $100 grants and t-shirts to each team.

  1. MAGIC Puzzle Challenge:

   – Coordinate teams for the MAGIC puzzle challenge event, including interaction with challenge sponsors.

   – Answer teacher questions and provide event support.

   – Manage the registration process and ensure smooth communication with participants.

   – Organize pizza delivery for teams across the state on the event day.

Qualifications:

– Currently enrolled in a degree program in education, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field.

– Strong organizational and time-management skills.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

– Basic video editing skills and familiarity with video editing software.

– Ability to read and modify Python Code, work on Raspberry Pis, Windows Powershell, SSH, and light networking through home wi-fi routers/switches.

– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

– Interest in cybersecurity and educational program development.

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

– Prior experience with educational programs or event coordination is a plus.

– Must be a Wyoming resident.
